these are my confessions~

Confession #1: The pizza from the last blog? All the credit has to go to The Boy ... in order to save a bit of money, we're trying to cook each other meals and last week was his turn, and he made us pizza ... from scratch(!), it's true. But I wish I could take credit for the yummy meal. If you'd like a little recipe, I can ask him ;)

Confession #2: When I take my dog out for a walk at the park, I get jealous at all the little kids playing all these new games I don't know about (seriously, what is Fruit Salad?!). Makes me wish I could just be carefree and run around ... so me and my dog went exploring and then I came home and ate some ice cream ... oops.

Confession #3: I have a bit of a weird addiction to The Hills, especially MTV's Aftershow because of the hosts, Dan and Jessi (who are Canadian, whoop whoop)! So when me and my close friend (who is also a fellow Hills-obsesser) found out they were coming to our university for an impromptu talk and Q&A session, we definitely had to go. We piled into a lecture hall and listened, while also getting the chance to ask them some questions.

They are honestly a hoot and told all these funny stories about meeting Tom Cruise (nice - almost too nice), Kristen Stewart (not very positive), Kelly Clarkson (Dan is a big fan), and what they really think about certain cast members of The Hills. It was a random and hilarious night :) And I look like a dork in that photo, hmms.

Confession #4: I now have that GLEE mash-up stuck in my head.

Confession #5: I feel like my life is at a bit of a standstill. That's not to say that I don't go out and do things, it's just ... I constantly feel like I'm waiting for things to begin, waiting for answers to all these questions I have. And it's not that I'm afraid of the answer -- I'm more than willing to find out what I need to do next in my life. It's just the waiting that gets to me. When you go out and exercise, you're working towards that goal, it's a quote-on-quote "work in progress." But when you write down everything and anything that will take you to the next step in life and all you're counting on is that one day when you find out whether it's a yes or a no and that day can't come soon enough ... it just makes everything feel like a standstill.

Recently, I found out that I might actually go to Europe this summer in August. It's another question, and I'm hoping the answer is yes, that I'll get to see my family again, that I'll get to meet The Boy's family, that we'll get to see places and experience things different than what I'm used to. But it's another one of those what if moments, one of those well, hopefully it'll happen. All I'm doing lately is making back-up plans for the plans I'm still waiting on answers for.

I guess that's life, right?

Wow, this post took a sudden 'Debbie Downer' turn.

I try to look on the bright side of life, try to focus on all that I have, the people in my life, things that I've accomplished. And one of my closest friends told me that no matter what, there will be opportunities in my life - and I appreciate that so much, and I believe her. I just wish they would come a bit sooner.

Dude- pull your Positive Polly Panties on! ;)

I can't stand Kristen Stewart and I would totally have this bizarre compulsion to beat her up. I have no idea why but I can't help it. She's so yucky. I'd probably get grease stains on my pants or something.

I didn't know you met the hosts of The Hills Aftershow, that's hilarious. I saw him in real life a couple of times and thought....well anyway, I hope you cheer up soon :)

ok so i loved The Hills when lauren was still the main character, but notsomuch anymore (kristen seriously makes me want to barf). but i do appreciate the after show and i am suuuuper excited for The City to start back up again! oh these horrible addictions...but you and your friend look adorbs in that pic :D

as for the last section of this post, i think a lot of the said "emoness" may have to do with the fact that we're graduating - because at least for me this past month (and all throughout april & may, im predicting) has been non-stop anxiety about what i'm going to do with my life after college. and even if that's not exactly what's bothering you, just know that it is ok to worry sometimes. just so long as you learn to move forward on bigger and brighter thoughts. setting goals is great, so you're already on the right path. keep your head up girlie, and i'm sending all my best wishes over to ya! :)

Dan and Jessi! Love them too. What did they say about Lauren Conrad? How is she in real life? Hehe.

Hun, that you're realizing that you're living life on a standstill at the moment is in itself an achievement. Being aware of it will slowly make you do the things you want to do but haven't had enough motivation to just do them! Work on the Europe trip...and if it doesn't play along, then don't feel demotivated. Like you said, there's a lot going on in the present itself.

i call it the "uni phase" when you just feel like some things are too uncertain that it gets worrisome at times.

but guess what, it happens to everyone. we plan, but sometimes, things just don't go according to plan. and when that happens, you'd be surprise how fun the ride can be. i'm talking from personal experience :) so yeah.

europe is amazing!!! i really hope you'll be able to go. don't forget to add in greece in your itinerary. it's a very beautiful country :)

I agree with what Ejannz said, sometimes the most prepared for plans also fail. I was once sent a quote that goes like, if Plan A fails, you still have Plans B to Z to consult! :)

Repeat after me: Pink Positive! :D

PS: Is there any way that your trip to Europe can somehow extend to Asia so you can go visit us? :D

i know how you feel about being in a standstill.. i'm not a fan of the waiting game but usually the wait is worth it :)

WOOHOO! I HOPE YOU GET TO GO TO EUROPE! That would be so awesome! it's my dream to go.. actually its my family's dream vacation to go on a Mediterranean cruise!!! ah, one day! :)

I am so glad you two are enjoying each others company over home cooked meals!! Sharing meals is one of my favorite things to do. I think its so caring and such nice time well spent together. Whether its your significant other or close friends, there is just something about sharing a meal.

I love watching kids play! Its so funny to me when I see my son playing with his little buddies, they are always making up such funny games and playing imagination always, and I LOVE IT!!! {I think "Fruit Salad" is a song by the Wiggles ;) }

I hope you get to go to Europe!!!!

# 3 is me. My obsession, however, extends to other reality TV, as well - Laguna Beach and Jersey Shore. Don't laugh! :)

I love confessions posts! They're so humbling. I totally get all the new games and stuff either.

I totally feel like my life is at a standstill right now too. The next thing I'm looking forward to is the 20SB meet-up. But, for now I'm unemployed and not enough of an expert in anything to move forward, you know?

Great post!

I don't think your post was that much of a downer, you are just trying to figure out what's next in life and there is nothing wrong with that. I too get that way sometimes! That pizza looks delish, kudos to your boyfriend and I hope your Europe trip works out, that would be so much fun! Be sure to keep us posted. :)
